Western Financial Group Partners with Habitat for Humanity Canada
More than insurance experts, we are community builders.
We are proud to announce we have committed to a $60,000 partnership over two years with Habitat for Humanity Canada to support its initiatives.
Habitat Canada’s mission aligns with Western’s values. We place high importance on giving back to our local communities. We take great pride in supporting the communities where our customers and team members live through impactful donations and volunteering efforts that truly make a difference.
Habitat Canada brings communities together to help families build strength, stability and independence through affordable homeownership. As an insurance broker, we offer home insurance products to protect what matters most to Canadians. Our multi-year partnership with Habitat Canada will also support local builds through donations and employee volunteering.
These are the Habitat Canada initiatives that we are committed to funding:
- The Every Youth Initiative provides young people with the opportunity to gain valuable trade and life skills, forming a strong foundation for better outcomes in education and employment.
- The Indigenous Housing Partnership is an equitable partnership rooted in respect for Indigenous culture, helping deliver housing solutions by Indigenous communities for Indigenous communities.
- Local Habitat Build Days across Canada, sponsored by our Western Communities Foundation.
“We are grateful to have the support of Western Financial Group and its customers. Your donations will help support Habitat homebuilding efforts across Canada while providing youth with an opportunity to gain valuable trade and life skills – and help us continue our work partnering with Indigenous communities to build safe places to call home. Through our new partnership, we look forward to continuing Western’s legacy of building stronger communities.” Jennifer Hearn, Vice President, Resource Development, Habitat Canada.
