Building a Stronger Future Together: Western and Wawanesa Support HSC
We’re proud to share that the Western Communities Foundation, in partnership with Wawanesa Insurance, has made a joint $100,000 donation to the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) Foundation’s Operation Excellence Campaign in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
This meaningful contribution supports surgical innovation and improved patient outcomes at Manitoba’s largest hospital, helping ensure that people across the province receive the best care when they need it most. It’s a powerful example of how the insurance industry can play a vital role in building safer, healthier, and stronger communities.

This donation is part of a broader commitment by both organizations to community impact. In 2025, the Western Communities Foundation continued its mission through emergency relief, youth education bursaries, and infrastructure grants across Canada. Wawanesa, through its community impact program, invests $3.5 million annually in local and national initiatives, including climate resiliency and charitable partnerships.
Together, Western and Wawanesa are helping ensure that Manitobans have access to the care they deserve, when it matters most.
