All eligible donations are tax deductible. Eligible online donations automatically receive a tax receipt for any amount, which is emailed to the donor, while all other eligible donations receive a tax receipt for amounts of $20 or more, issued at the end of the year or upon request. Tax receipts are not issued when a benefit or item of value is received in return for the donation, such as sponsorships, auction items, or purchases.
Our application/registration forms use Secure Server Software (SSL) technology, the industry standard for secure commercial transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including credit card numbers, name and address, so that it cannot be read as the information travels over the Internet. While on a secure page, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer is in the lock position. We use SSL technology from the VeriSign Corporation.
When processing your online donation, please ensure you enter all the correct information, including your email address. Eligible online donations automatically receive a tax receipt by email immediately after the donation is processed. If you did not receive your receipt, or if your donation was not made online, please contact the local branch where you made your donation or email communitiesfoundation@westernfg.ca for assistance.
