Walking for Local Communities

Team Western will be participating in a 5km walk in over 180 communities from coast to coast to unit to raise awareness and funds for local charities and community organizations in need.
For 23 years, Western Financial Group has been partnering with team members, business partners and communities to build safe and vibrant spaces across Canada. Through its Communities Foundation, Western has been organizing the National Walk to collectively raise funds for the local communities where we live and work since 2005. The first National Walk saw 246 team members participating. This annual event has grown since with nearly 2,000 Western employees and friends participating annually. Funds raised from this event are invested in communities in the form of infrastructure grants, inspirational bursary awards, and emergency and disaster relief support.
In 2023, more than 1,700 Western team members participated, and donated over $80,000 to local causes.
