Giving Back in High River: Supporting Wild Rose Community Connections
At Western Financial Group, giving back to our communities is at the heart of who we are. Recently, our Technology Services Applications & IT Service Delivery team in High River, Alberta spent a meaningful day volunteering with Wild Rose Community Connections, a local organization dedicated to food rescue and community support.
Team members began their day at Wild Rose’s headquarters, where they toured the impressive facility before diving into food prep. Together, they cleaned and sorted fresh produce, assembled hampers for families in need, and ensured surplus fruits and vegetables were set aside for local farmers to use as livestock feed.
In the afternoon, the team joined Wild Rose staff and volunteers at the Alliance Church to prepare and serve lunch to a group of local seniors. Sharing stories and laughter over word games, the experience was a touching reminder of the importance of connection and care.
We’re proud to share that Wild Rose has been selected as the High River branch’s 2026 charity of choice through our Western Community Care employee fundraising program. Through the Western Communities Foundation, we’re committed to supporting safe, inclusive spaces and empowering grassroots organizations that make a lasting impact in communities across Canada.
