Western Celebrates Diversity Month with new Employee Resource Groups
Celebrate Diversity Month takes place in April every year. It was initiated in 2004 to recognize and honour the diversity of the world around us, be it gender, race, ethnicity, faith, sexual orientation, and other factors while honouring the common essence of humanity.
As we celebrate Diversity Month, we’re excited to announce two more ERG groups at Western. An Employee Resource Group (ERG) is an employee-led and driven group of employees with common interests and or backgrounds that connect, learn, and develop new skills and positively impact the business. Later this month we are excited to bring together folks in our community to take part in the Single/Working Parents and Asian ERG groups across Western.
Our 6 ERGs create spaces for our team members to connect, learn, and develop and for allyship to take root and grow!
Access-Ability Teammates & Allies

At Western, we acknowledge diversity every day, not just once a year. Under Western’s DEI pillar of fostering inclusion, we celebrate your value to the team. Celebrate Diversity Month pushes us to seek knowledge about others to build a tolerant world that welcomes everyone, regardless of who they are or where they come from. By appreciating our similarities and differences, the month aims to help us all to foster a deeper understanding of others, regardless of who they are, what they are, or how they live.
