NIO Compliance Team and Victoria Regional Office Unite to Give Back This Holiday
The holiday season is all about giving and this year, our teams are making it count! The NIO Program Compliance Team joined forces with the Victoria Regional Office to support the Western Communities Foundation Holiday Toy Drive, continuing a cherished tradition of community care and team spirit.
For the past few years, the NIO Compliance Team has embraced the joy of giving by selecting local charities and shopping for gifts together, a festive tradition that strengthens teamwork while making a difference. Last year, the team donated art supplies to Nigel House in Victoria, BC and backpacks filled with essentials to Sanctuary Youth, an organization supporting street-entrenched and marginalized youth.

Meanwhile, the Victoria Regional Office has been spreading holiday cheer for five years through its partnership with Victoria Elder Care. Their efforts include wrapping gifts for elders and baking Christmas cookies for staff at elder care residences. This is a heartfelt way to show appreciation and brighten the season for those who care for our seniors.

This holiday season, the magic continues! The teams have transformed the office into Santa’s Workshop for festive gift-wrapping parties. Earlier this week, they headed out together and returned with a cart overflowing with toys for the toy drive, and even bigger smiles. These moments of collaboration and generosity remind us that the holidays are about more than decorations and celebrations; they’re about coming together to make a positive impact in our communities.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this year’s efforts. Your kindness and teamwork embody the true spirit of the season. Here’s to continuing this tradition of giving and making a difference one gift, one smile, and one act of care at a time.
