Western Donates to Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary in Alberta
As part of our 20th annual National Walk for Safe Places, the Western Financial Group Communities Foundation held a special #StepUpAndShare Photo Walk Challenge, inviting participants across Canada to walk for a cause close to their hearts.
We're thrilled to announce that Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary was one of the ten selected charities to receive a donation through our draw!
This incredible Alberta-based organization provides a safe haven for displaced wolfdogs while educating the public about these majestic animals. We’re proud to support the important work they do in rescue, rehabilitation, and awareness. Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s walk and helped us celebrate 20 years of building safer, stronger communities together.
About The Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary
The Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary is located near Cochrane, Alberta. This amazing non-profit is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and education of wolfdogs. Owning wolfdogs can come with significant challenges, which is why this organizaiton exists to educate the public and rescue wolfdogs in need. Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary provides a safe home for over 55 wolfdogs living in large, natural enclosures. We joined their experts on a tour to learn more about these unique animals’ behaviors and needs. Visit them yourself to observe wolfdogs and learn from expert guides!
