Western Sees Hope in Action at the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba
Last week, members of our Winnipeg Regional team had the opportunity to visit the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba as part of the launch of Western Communities Foundation’s Quote for Hope campaign, an initiative in support of Canada’s children’s hospital foundations and Children’s Miracle Network. Led by Matt Friesen, Senior VP, Central Sales and Services, the visit offered a meaningful look at how community support translates into real care for children and families across Manitoba.
During the tour, our team visited the Cardiac Clinic and the new CL5 Transplant and Blood Disorder Unit. These spaces are more than just hospital rooms. They are carefully designed environments where children receive specialized care and where families find support and comfort during some of the most challenging moments of their lives.
Walking through these units reinforces why Quote for Hope matters.
It’s about showing up for families during incredibly difficult moments and helping ensure children can access the care they need, when they need it most. Through the program, every eligible home and business insurance quote helps support children’s hospital foundations across Canada, including right here at home in Manitoba. Those contributions help fund essential medical equipment, treatment spaces, and family-centred care that make a difference when it matters most.
For our team, the visit served as a strong reminder that giving back is central to Western.
It is about being there in moments that matter, in this case, ensuring children have access to the care they need, close to home, and supporting families during incredibly difficult times.
