Dr. Jennifer Willans appointed to the Petsecure Veterinary Advisory Board (PVAB)
Winnipeg, Manitoba – January 24, 2016: Petsecure pet health insurance, Canada’s largest pet health insurance company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jennifer Willans to the Petsecure Veterinary Advisory Board (PVAB).
The PVAB is represented by veterinarians across Canada who share a passion for exceptional pet health care and a unique knowledge and expertise in the pet health industry. Board members are committed to collaborating with industry partners and shareholders to explore innovative ways to make pet health insurance more accessible to all pet owners. Their goal is to support and enhance the pet health industry by providing pet owners with knowledge and means to receive quality care for their pets, and support veterinarians with additional resources to care for all pets with the most effective treatments available.
With over 17 years of experience in the veterinary industry, Dr. Willans is currently practicing in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in canine and feline medicine. Dr. Willans has served on numerous committees and boards during her tenure and is currently serving as the President of Tails of Help, a registered charity providing financial support for veterinary care to animals belonging to Albertans with financial need. She is also the past President of the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association and was awarded as “Young Veterinarian of the Year” from the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association in 2005.
