About GivingTuesday
GivingTuesday is the world’s largest movement dedicated to generosity, inspiring people to do good. Established in the U.S. in 2012 and introduced to Canada in 2013 by CanadaHelps and other founding partners, it now spans over 100 countries, uniting millions of individuals each year. This year, GivingTuesday falls on December 3rd. Harness the power of your voice to spark generosity, helping us make this day a special one for deserving Canadian charities across our beautiful country.
Here's how it all works
Use the hashtags #100KforGivingTuesday and #GivingTuesdayCA when you nominate. Remember to tag the charity you nominate to let them know they have a shot at receiving one of ten $10,000 donations! Our charity team will create a shortlist, then our Western employees will vote to select the final recipients of the donation which will be announced on December 3 for GivingTuesday.
Share your love
From November 12 until November 27, 2024 at 11:59 PM EST, visit Western Financial Group’s Facebook page at facebook.com/westernfinancialgroup. Post a heartfelt story about the impact of your favourite Canadian charity to nominate them.
Spread the buzz
Rally your friends, family, and everyone you know to join in. The more nominations the better, as there are so many worthy causes across Canada that not only need financial support but to have their voices heard and causes amplified.
Create a lasting impression
If you really want to amplify the work of your favourite charity, post a short video about your nomination on your Facebook feed using the hashtags #100KforGivingTuesday and #GivingTuesdayCA, while also tagging your favourite charity - your video could be featured in our December 3 live stream.
