About Camrose Branch

Camrose is a city with over 18,000 residents, 100 kilometres southeast of Edmonton, in central Alberta.

It had its beginnings as a village in 1905 and as a railroad hub, with railways that connected to Edmonton and Calgary, as well as to smaller communities in central Alberta, such as Wetaskiwin, Stettler, Drumheller and Vegreville. Twelve passenger trains came through Camrose daily by 1914. In 1955, it became a city.

Colloquially, it’s known as the "Rose City” because large numbers of wild roses grow in the surrounding parklands. The Camrose Rose was introduced to the city in 1995 by a local grower, who developed it to withstand Alberta’s climate.

Camrose is a major regional center served by five highways and two railways. It has a hospital with full emergency services and surgical capabilities, a campus of the University of Alberta, various manufacturing facilities, and it is a regional shopping destination.

The city is home to thriving agri-businesses and it has a manufacturing sector that supports the regional and provincial oil and gas exploration and development sector.

For hockey fans, the Camrose Kodiaks are a Junior A hockey team in the Alberta Junior Hockey League.

It has more than 37 kilometres of trails, outdoor skating, biathlon range, sandy beaches, boating and canoeing, and its newest park is the Nature Conservation Centre. The Camrose and District Centennial Museum, opened July 1, 1967, is a favorite destination for tourists to learn about local history.

We have had the privilege of working with Tom and his team on insuring our rental portfolio, automobiles and primary residence. The service level provided by Tom is second to none and he continually earns our business. He is a true professional that I appreciate more and more with each property we add to our policy. I would highly recommend giving them the opportunity to serve all of your insurance needs.

I have been with central agencies since I could drive and they have always been super nice, it is always a nice fast smooth appointments. They listen to what you have to say, and they are there for you. Prices are not crazy, nor cheap. You get what you pay for.
